LOS SUEÑOS AND CHANTILLY AIR ANNOUNCE THE FIRST ANNUAL LADIES ONLY TOURNAMENT
Los Sueños Resort and Marina, along with Chantilly Air are excited to announce an all new woman’s only non-professional fishing tournament. The first ever Los Sueños Ladies Only Billfish Tournament will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 out of the Billfish Capital of the World, Los Sueños Costa Rica.
The Ladies Only Billfish Tournament is a one-day boat tournament. Teams will be targeting sailfish (100 points each) and marlin (500 points each) and are able to register up to 4 lady anglers with no professional anglers allowed. The definition of a professional angler and all other rules are published here. This format tests your angling abilities and teamwork. The tournament organizer will provide a qualified observer for each participating boat.
The top three participating teams will take home a total combined cash prize of $27,500; $13,750 to first, $8,250 to second, and $5,500 to third. In addition, the top three teams will be awarded custom trophies. Prizes will be awarded at 5 pm prior to the tournament meeting of the Triple Crown on Wednesday, January 16th.
Entry is FREE for boats participating in the Triple Crown. Individual angler points from this tournament will be added to the points for the Triple Crown with the female angler with the most points after all four events taking home top honors at the awards ceremony in March. For those NOT participating in the Triple Crown, the entry fee is $5,000.
